We know that having your home painted can feel stressful — especially when you are living abroad and coordinating things remotely. The worry about damaged furniture, ruined floors or painters who take twice as long as promised is real.
At Pinturas Soliva, we spend 30% of our time covering floors, taping skirting boards and protecting furniture before a single drop of paint goes on the wall. The result: when we leave, the only thing that has changed is immaculately finished walls.
We communicate in English from the initial visit through to handover, so you always know exactly what is happening with your property.
Step by step
Our Process for a Perfect Finish
1. Preparation and repair
We inspect all walls, fill cracks, holes and flaking areas, then sand smooth for a perfectly even surface.
2. Primer where needed
If changing from dark to light colours, or treating stains from damp or smoke, we apply a sealing primer first.
3. Two cross-coats of paint
Minimum two coats of washable emulsion (matt, satin or gloss) with proper drying time between coats. Solid, uniform colour.
4. Clean-up and handover
We remove all tape, sheeting and protection. We sweep and leave the room exactly as clean as we found it.

About Interior Painting
Do I need to empty the flat of furniture?
No. We move large furniture to the centre of the room and cover everything with heavy-duty protective sheeting. We only ask you to remove small, fragile items and wall decorations.
How long does it take to paint a 3-bedroom apartment?
An 80-90 m² apartment is typically completed in 3 to 5 working days, depending on whether it is empty or furnished and the condition of the walls.
Can I stay in the property while you paint?
Yes. We use low-emission, low-odour paints. We work room by room to minimise disruption to your daily life.
Do you paint ceilings and doors?
We paint walls and ceilings. We do not offer door lacquering or furniture varnishing — we specialise in what we do best.
Do you remove gotelé / popcorn ceiling texture?
No. Gotelé (the textured "popcorn" finish common in older Spanish properties) removal is a specialist job that requires plastering. We paint walls and ceilings but we do not skim or remove gotelé texture.
I manage my property remotely — can you coordinate via email/WhatsApp?
Absolutely. Many of our expat clients manage their Costa del Sol properties from abroad. We handle everything via WhatsApp, email and video calls, and can coordinate with your key holder or property manager.
